Amegy Bank | Holiday in the Heartland
This bank had been a long time client of ThomasArts and every December they were intent on sending out would basically a large email consisting of just images to their clients. This year, the account designer and I were able to convince them their email could be smaller with a link to a fun holiday page.
Using the Bootstrap 3 framework, I took the design and began creating the assets I would need to create a click map that would launch modal windows that would feature fun facts or branch staff photos.
The mobile version of the site was not thought out by the designer, and was not a requirement of the client, but I suggested that since almost half of emails are opened on mobile devices, it would only make sense to have the option available to the user. The designer gave me free reign on the mobile version and I was able to make the experience translate well down from the desktop size.
I love making things that become solutions to needs in the print and digital worlds. Designing is a family trait and I decided in high school that I would carry that talent into the digital age. The instruction and experiences I received at Southern Utah University saw to it that I would set me on my path. After leaving SUU with BFA in Graphic Design, and parting ways with my internship at LearnKey, I found myself as a junior developer at ThomasArts. Having grown my talents, Software Technology Group saw my eye for design and talent in things front end web development. Since then I've been able to consult for clients such as McCann Erickson, PDCFlow, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
